Stuart Transport Agar [MB-S1182]
Semisolid medium for the preservation of Neisseria spp.and other fastidious microorganisms.
PROCEDURE
Suspend 14.1 G of powder in 1 L of distilled or deionized water. Heat to boiling with frequent agitation and distribute into 5 ml screw-capped vials filling each vial almost to the top. Sterilized in autoclave with caps loose, at 121°C for 10 minutes. Then screw caps on tightly, and cool vials rapidly.
STORE
The powder is very hygroscopic. Store the powder at room temperature, in a dry environment, in its original container tightly closed and use it before the expiry date on the label. Store prepared medium at 2 - 8°C.
