m-Endo Broth [MB-E1220]
Selective medium used for enumeration of coliforms in water by the membrane filter method.
* Equally use with NIER (MB-E1220N), mEndo Broth Base (MB-E2163).
* mEndo Broth Base [MB-E2163], Endo M Broth Base [MB-E122], products identical to the drinking water quality process standards .
PROCEDURE
Suspend 48.05 G of powder in 980 mL of distilled or deionized water. Add 20 mL of ethyl alcohol 95%. Heat to boiling until completely dissolved. Avoid overheating and DO NOT AUTOCLAVE. Cool to 45 - 50°C in water bath. Mix well. Dispense in tubes.
STORE
The powder is very hygroscopic. Store the powder at room temperature, in a dry environment, in its original container tightly closed and use it before the expiry date on the label or until signs of deterioration or contamination are evident. Store prepared medium at 2 - 8°C.
