Principle
The FSTest T-2 Toxin Rapid Test Kit is based onimmunochromato-graphic assay. The test cassette has a testing window for the observation of assay running and result reading. The testing window has an invisible T (test) line and a C (control) line before running the assay. When the treated sample was applied intothe sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow through the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated recombinant antigens. If there is T-2 Toxin in the sample, theintensity of T line will be inhibited. Meanwhile, the C line shouldalways appear after a sample is applied, which indicates a validresult. By comparison the intensity between two lines, the devicecan indicate the presence of T-2 Toxin in the sample.

Sample preparation

1. Take an appropriate amount of grain and grind it, weigh 1.0 g of sample and add it into a 10 mL centrifuge tube. 
   
2. Add 4 mL of extracting solution, re-cap the tube tightly, vortex for 2 mins to mix, then centrifuge at 4000 rpm for 3 mins. 
   
3. Pipette 200 μL of supernatant into a 2 mL centrifuge tube, add 400 uL of extracting solution, shake to mix.

For corn with LOD 4 mg/kg, pipette 50 μL of mixture from 6.2.3. into a 2 mL centrifuge tube and add 900 μL of diluent solution, vortex to mix, and ready for the test.

Procedure & Steps 

1. Before use, ensure the cassette is between 20 to 40°C. 
   
2. Take the test cassette out of the bag and put it on a flat surface. 
   
3. Pipette 100 μL of sample solution into a microwell, mix for 3-5 times with pipette, then stand for 3 mins. 
   
4. Pipette 100 μL of sample solution into the sample hole of the test cassette.
   
5. Interpret the results after 8 mins. Results are invalid after 10 mins
