SYNONYMS
T-cell antigen CD7, GP40, LEU-9, Tp40, TP41, CD7, T-cell leukemia antigen, T-cell surface antigen Leu-9.
INTRODUCTION
T-cell antigen CD7 (CD7) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein which is expressed on pluripotential hemapoietic cells, nearly all human thymocytes and some peripheral blood T cells. The CD7 molecule is missing in a subset of human T cells under some physiologic conditions. An increase in CD7 negative T cells can be observed in a number of inflammatory skin diseases.
DESCRIPTION
CD7 Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 164 amino acids (26-180a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 17.5kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 18-28kDa). CD7 is expressed with a 6 amino acids His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
