INTRODUCTION
Defensins form a family of microbicidal and cytotoxic peptides made by neutrophils. Members of the defensin family are highly similar in protein sequence. This gene encodes defensin, beta 103A, which has broad spectrum antimicrobial activity and may play an important role in innate epithelial defense.

STORAGE PROCEDURES
In lyophilized form, for long periods, store at 4°C in a dry environment. After reconstitution,
if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -20°C.
SOLUBILITY
Reconstitute with H20. Mix gently, wash the sides of the vial and wait 30-60 seconds before use.
APPLICATIONS
Direct ELISA, Immuneprecipitation, blotting , Immunohistochemistry.
TITER
By direct ELISA, 1:7,000 dilution will yield 0.4 O.D using alkaline phosphatase conjugated rabbit anti-mouse Ig (Jackson Laboratories).
