SYNONYMS
CD72, CD72b, LYB2, B-cell differentiation antigen CD72, Lyb-2.
INTRODUCTION
CD72 antigen is a member of the type II integral membrane glycoproteins which includes other related cell surface moleculaes such as the asialoglycoprotein receptors, CD23 and the Kupffer cell recpeotr. The exposure of B cells to CD72 antibodies activates a variety of signalling pathways and can induce MHC class II expression and B cell proliferation. CD72 antigen is expressed on all cells of B cell lineage with the exception of plasma cells and weakly on human tissue macrophages.
DESCRIPTION
CD72 Human Recombinant produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 485 amino acids (117-359a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 55.3kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 50-70kDa).
CD72 is expressed with a 242 amino acid hIgG-His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
