SYNONYMS
Proteasome subunit alpha type-7-like, PSMA8, PSMA7L.

INTRODUCTION
Proteasome subunit alpha type-8 (PSMA8) is a member of the peptidase T1A family. PSMA8 is a multicatalytic proteinase complex which is distinguished by its ability to cleave peptides with Arg, Phe, Tyr, Leu, and Glu adjacent to the leaving group at neutral or slightly basic pH. The proteasome has an ATP-dependent proteolytic activity. The PSMA8 subunit may be testis-specific.

DESCRIPTION
PSMA8 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 270 amino acids (1-250) and having a molecular mass of 30kDa.
PSMA8 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
