INTRODUCTION
Phosphoglucomutase-1 also known as PGM1 is a member of the phosphohexose mutase family. There are more than a few PGM isozymes, which catalyze the transfer of phosphate between the 1&6 positions of glucose. In nearly all cell types, PGM1 isozymes predominate, representing around 90% of total PGM activity. It has been found that defects in PGM1 are the cause of glycogen storage disease type 14.
DESCRIPTION
PGM1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 585 amino acids (1-562 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 63.8kDa.
PGM1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
