Introduction

Ponceau 2R is a dark red powder, soluble in water, reddish-brown to red solution, very slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone, insoluble in other organic solvents; it is cherry red to rose red when exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid, and yellow-red when diluted. Its aqueous solution was added with concentrated hydrochloric acid to produce a red precipitate. It has been used as part of Goldner's wool stain for staining thin sections. It has also been used to prepare a fuchsin-Ponceau solution for staining the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Tissue Engineered Skin Model (ALS-TES).

The usage and dosage of biochemical reagents are mainly determined according to the customer's experimental purpose and the experimental methods in existing literature or books. The following uses are for reference only.

1. Ponceau Acid fuschin Staining Solution is one of the active ingredients of Masson Trichrome Staining, mainly used for staining muscle fibers, which are red after staining. The formula of this staining solution is as follows: Ponceau 2R 0.7g, Acid fuschin 0.3g, 99 mL of redistilled water, 1mL of glacial acetic acid, and mixing to dissolve fully.

2. In the staining experiment of Ponceau 2R-bright green staining method to show the nerve myelin sheath, Ponceau 2R staining solution stained the nerve myelin sheath into pink color, the preparation method: Ponceau 2R 1g, glacial acetic acid 1mL, distilled water 99mL, and the three can be used by mixing.
